Book Launch: Building a Culture of Innovation
Attend the Building a Culture of Innovation Book Launch to discover how you can embody innovation.
Building a Culture of Innovation sets out a practical guide for every entrepreneur and business leader to follow on the road to building innovation capability as a core asset and differentiator in the crowded, commoditized world we now operate in.
SMEs and small entrepreneurial companies have long been able to leverage their size in terms of speed, agility and creativity. We all know that done right, ‘fast-innovators’ get new products to market much quicker and generate more sales from them.
SMEs are also able to capitalize on their ability to collaborate and when nearly 80% of employees believe that ideas are improved when they can collaborate at all levels, the quest to build innovation as a core capability and part of organizational culture has never been more critical. With innovation on the top team agenda for the majority of corporates, the opportunity for SMEs to access market knowledge, partner, joint venture or secure investment from the corporate world has never been more so but it requires more than just a lone entrepreneur. It requires a culture of innovation.

CEO and Senior Leaders Innovation
With the majority of CEOs and senior leaders ranking innovation as one of their top-three priorities and many placing it as the number one priority, the time for rhetoric is over. But, being a truly innovative company is more than the dreaming up of new products and services by external consultants and internal taskforces. Staying one step ahead of the competition requires you to embed innovation as a core capability and when nearly 80% of employees believe that ideas are improved when they can collaborate at all levels, the quest to build innovation into organizational culture has never been more critical.
Innovation needs to be embodied in everything that gets done by everyone who works there. By changing your organizational culture to one that supports innovation, you will remove the barriers that stop you responding quickly and agilely to changing market conditions and opportunities for growth. Barriers like innovation being more something that is talked about than done, people being unaware of your organizations definition of innovation and how it fits into and aligns with wider corporate goals and employees not believing that innovation is embedded within the leadership team among many others.
