European Logistics Association
3rd June 2015
European Logistics Association (ELA) is a federation of more than 30 National Logistics Associations covering most of Western and Central Europe, and beyond. The members of these National Logistics Associations are professionals working in a logistics function, mainly in the industry but also in different service sectors.
Throughout this network, European Logistics Association reaches 55,000 logistics professionals. Since we promote a profession and not a sector, we are a neutral body.
The aim of the European Logistics Association is to provide a network platform for the logistics professionals and to promote the logistics and supply chain profession.
Between the finalists of national award winning projects, the European Gold Medal in Logistics and Supply Chain celebrates the best Logistics project of the year, as well as the best Logistics professional of the year.
To promote the profession, doctorate students from all over Europe are invited to join an annual ELA Doctorate Workshop in order to explore papers on a range of logistics and supply chain topics.
To ensure interaction with the European Parliament and the different Directorate Generals in the European Commission, ELA organises joint events and meetings.
