About the Author
Christopher Hatcher, FCA MAE MEWI, received a joint honours degree in Law & Accounting from Cardiff University. Trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a major international practice, his experience developed upon joining his current firm, Watts Gregory in 1994.
He further developed the firm's offering to non-client solicitor practices and expert witness training undertaken so as to arrive at the current position, where 20-25 forensic assignments are undertaken each year, the vast majority of which require the preparation of an expert report.
Mr Hatcher has, as a result, given evidence in Court on a number of occasions. As well as forensic work, he is responsible for audit work, an accredited individual for probate and estate administration services and looks after his firm's services to a varied client base.
His forensic accounting experience includes: share and business valuations, personal injury claims, professional negligence actions, financial product mis-selling and criminal matters.
