Kate Hart
Kate Hart is a partner at Roffe Swayne, a 90-person full-service accountancy practice based in Surrey and London. She trained at Deloitte and spent 11 years with its forensic accounting group before establishing Roffe Swayne's forensic team in 2011.
She advises clients on all aspects of forensic work including commercial and matrimonial disputes. She regularly undertakes business valuations and quantifies losses suffered as a result of breach of contract, mis-selling and fraud. She has acted for a variety of clients from private individuals and sole traders to owner managed businesses and multinational companies.
Ms Hart acts for claimants, defendants, as a single joint expert and in expert determinations. She has given evidence under cross-examination at ICC Arbitration and in the English Courts. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a member of The Academy of Experts. She sits on the ICAEW President's Appointments Scheme panel of experts and is a guest lecturer at Portsmouth University (Forensic Accounting MSc course).
