Melissa Zhang

Melissa Zhang is an experienced global asset manager and technology provider based in New York City, New York. She is one of 90 leaders under 30 selected by the Aspen Institute to serve as a climate future leader, where she works with AI to ideate and develop policy plans on the climate crisis. She earned her MBA from Stanford University, and she is set to graduate with a Master of Public Administration in Clean Energy Technology from Harvard Kennedy School. She is also a Distributed Energy Generation Researcher at Harvard's Belfer Center, and she continues to help groups manage their sustainability literacy when it comes to corporate policy and financial considerations. She began her career in this field at BlackRock, a multinational investment management corporation. While  there, she managed the $1.2B Low-Carbon Transition Readiness Fund before moving to work as an environmental, social and governance consultant at MioTech. She has also worked on the strategy, partnerships and product team tackling the electric grid at X, the Moonshot Factory, which is a research and development organization that operates as a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.
