About the book
The pressures on executives to succeed, both internal and external, are intense. They are constantly fighting to make sense of their changing worlds and to make the right decisions for themselves, their teams and their business. Executive Advantage gives ambitious leaders the powerful strategies they need to become authentic 21st century leaders. It makes sense of the complexities faced by organizations, especially in the face of aggressive growth or, conversely, recession and downsizing. Any change presents challenges and it's the leader's role to tackle these head on. Understanding human needs, and the consequences of not meeting these needs, is key to effective handling of change, conflict and executive 'gremlins', the barriers and sticking points that can get in the way of optimal business performance. Leadership expert Jacqui Grey presents a 10 step solution for leaders who are looking to make a real difference in their business.

In this complex business world we must force the executive gremlins out of the closet and into the boardroom. Anyone who is already in a leadership role or who aspires to leadership should read this book.
Jeremy Small, Group Company Secretary, AXA UK plc
Leadership resilience is not just about toughing it out; the business world is far too complex and fast moving for that to be an effective strategy. This book will help you to understand how your business affects you, show how you can deal with its impact and develop your insight into 21st century leadership.
Bob Wigley, Chairman Yell
There can hardly have been a more appropriate time for an insightful book about dealing with the challenges of senior leadership positions.
Eleanor Mills, Sunday Times
I will never forget the lunch I had with Jacqui Grey where she explained her 10 Step Programme for Executive Advantage by making me answer simple questions about how some situations at work made me feel. She quickly unearthed some true and consistent fault lines in the way I reacted and explained how I could avoid those triggers in the future. It worked! In a fast moving world we can't always control events but we can control our reactions which improves the subsequent decisions we make. Jacqui helped me - let her help you.
